Dear Mason School of Business alumni:

The coming academic year, with all of its excitement and promise, is nearly upon us.  Freshman Move-In day is Friday, August 22 and Interim President Taylor Reveley will preside over Opening Convocation on August 29. Just as with summer, the academic year goes by more quickly with each passing year.

Very shortly after closing the academic year, The Mason School of Business will occupy its new home, Alan B. Miller Hall. Our new building will allow us the opportunity to enhance our programs and our brand of business education that will prepare our students for great success and achievement.

Coincidental with our move to Miller Hall, we will expand our services to alumni.  In March 2009 we will join the College by unveiling our new website, complete with the same fresh look and additional functionality. We are currently exploring web-based networking and community building solutions. Our goal is to build the Mason School of Business alumni community by offering alumni opportunities to engage with one another and with the School and our students. Two 'first steps' in that strategy were creating LinkedIn and Facebook groups for alumni.  You can read more about them in the Mason School of Business Goes Web 2.0! story. In the meantime, look for us coming to you in Richmond on September 25th as well as Atlanta and New York City later in the fall. Click the News & Events link above for a complete schedule of regional events this fall.

Finally, please mark your calendars for Homecoming 2008!  We have activities planned for ALL business alumni on Friday, October 24 and Saturday, October 25.  Click here for a complete Homecoming 2008 event schedule.
